About Me

My career really started in 1992 with Kool FM (east London based jungle/drum and bass pirate radio station under the name DJ PHAZE 3)where I cut my teeth and kick started myself as a DJ. I started my own business in the winter of 1994 with State of the Art Recordings, which I ran until early 2000 with two partners. Releasing music on our own label and others we had global hits with 'Just a Vision' (released on Renegade) and 'Klass of 76' (released on Mercury and later included on Fabio's killer compilation 'Liquid Funk').During this period, while State of the Art Recordings was gaining the reputation as one of London's up and coming record labels, my music was being used on TV series (The Lads, Bad Girls and London's Burning - all ITV, among others), TV Ads (Barclay Card, Vodaphone, Audi Automobiles) and on the motion picture Zoot Mania. In 2000 I returned to playing Soul/Funk & Chunky HOUSE MUSIC and was asked to play at AfroTurf @ the Blue Angel in North London which has lead on to the SoulBrew parties where I still reside. Simultaneously starting as a resident DJ for Smooth @ the world famous Ministry of Sound; between 2001-02 I had the chance to play with the likes of Smokin' Jo, Brandon Bloc and Bob Sinclair. In 2002 I was taken up as resident DJ for Salvation playing at Pascha London, Cafe de Paris and Ikon. I also had the opportunity to play all over the world in places such as Singapore, Jakarta, Sydney, Amsterdam and Moscow. In 2004 I moved to Canary Islands as resident DJ at Heaven - Gran Canaria. There I stayed for two years, playing in the Canary Islands' most famous gay venue, to 600 clubbers every night along side the likes of Sonique, Jason Orange and Erik More Morillo. This lead on to a Bi-Monthly residency at the exclusive OHM (Madrid) and Menfis (Barcelona) which are both still highlights to this day!!
