She began writing poems since she was 17 and then at the age of 18, without any lessons, picked up a guitar and learned how to play it herself in order to express all of what she felt inside.Delivering a positive message to people, her songs dont talk about just one theme, but instead of all the many things that happen around us. Most of her best songs are born after a terrible experience while living in Mexico, that not only impacted her life for a period of time, but helped her find self healing through the creation of this songs of peace, hope and reconziliation with her creator, who is now her daily inspiration. She has admired and been influenced by many artist like Flyleaf, Alanis Morissette, Sixpense None The Richer, however, Jeny Alem has developed her own unique style and has set her own goal of never copying or imitate any artist out there.Her first E.P was recorded during June of 2007 at Houston, TX ..by Chris Rocha, and also brought along the colaboration of Juan Carlos Claveria.
