I finally found a job I can live with. I am a professional line cook. Food is my life. I plan my entire day around what and where I'll be eating. And now I've transitioned that passion and skill into a career. Fucking awesome. I get to set things on fire, play with knives, and burn and cut the fuck out of myself on a regular basis. I am a music buff too and can usually be found with headphones on strutting around streets or banging my head in the car with the stereo blaring. I am also madly, madly in love with a boy. Not just any boy. I would say more but, umm, I might get carried away. I have an awesome gang of friends who sustain me and inspire me everyday and the most wonderful family a girl could ask for. In the future, I want to keep cooking professionally - move onto bigger and better culinary jobs. And travel the world, eating anything and everything I can get my hands on. This was me a while back, written about 3 year ago:i finished school (AN ADDENDUM TO ANYONE BOTHERING TO START READING THIS AND NOT FINISH IT -- i DID graduate college, I have a B.A.) about 5 years ago and have been working in austin ever since. i'd like to say i finished college, but the truth is, I kind of farted out of it. I swear I needed another 3 hours to finish my degree at the end of the summer and i was just about to register for the fall semester when i got this letter advising me I had completed all the requirements for the degree. Walked in Dec 2001 with my shiny piece of paper...Crazy, no? It was so freaking anticlimatic. I was hoping that word would make a good seque to me talking about my life... but i have a really climatic life, wait that sounds a little strange...anyways, I have two wonderful dogs, Mona Lisa and Sammie. And I have had several, now funny, near death experiences which have put a lot of stuff in perspective. My entire family is hysterically odd, when my parents went to see X-Men II: United, they decided we all needed to have superhero names and powers. My mother's name was Sarito, and her power was that no electronic devices work within a 20 mile radius of her presence, and mine was, appropriately, Revealo. Revealo will make anything and everything about herself known, at any time and as loudly as possible. Oh, and i once had the most incredible orgasm to a turquoise lightning storm. i'm really focused on a particular concept in my life right now, LILA. It's an old sanskrit word which means play. actually, it means a bit more than just play, it means divine play, "the play of creation, destruction, and re- creation, the folding and unfolding of the cosmos." But I think i'm making myself out to be way too philisophical, i can still bust a move on the dance floor... after all i did grow up in Houston.
