Okay, here goes. My name's
Shannon, or Shan to my friends. I'm currently twenty-one - Yayy, I get to do most things I've done since I was nineteen, woot! I live in suburbia outside Philly (but not for much longer). I'm very much an introvert so I like to keep to myself a majority of the time. I've been told that makes me unapproachable. Hell, I know I probably even look accordingly...whatever. I'm quiet. I like to watch people. Since when did that become a crime? But hey, if ya do approach me, I won't bite..hard :) Honestly, I'm pretty shy around outsiders I'm not close to; with friends I'm a completely different person, reserved but quirky (lol). I'm content in my own skin..to certain degrees. I like my personality, although I wish I could be more spontaneous and outspoken sometimes. Occasionally I think myself boring, but who knows. I think everyone thinks that of themselves on a certain level.
I have a tremendous love and respect for
wrestling. I've been a fan since I can remember, like eight or nine years old, and probably will be til the day I die. I've always had a somewhat inspiring dream to become a pro wrestler too. Yes, I know. You're probably looking at me and thinking to yourself, 'Is she nuts?' Yes, I'm well aware it would take
A LOT of work on my part to shape up, but I can live with that - if it ever happens of course. I have conflicting feelings though. I completely loath the way women are made out to be (WWE specifically). I know I'm not a looker as it is, but I don't agree you have to have a certain look to get anywhere in the business. I have a mind too ya know. There's more to women than tits and ass. I completely respect the Indy girls for trying to uphold a much different image of women wrestlers. Ring of Honor is my/the savior of wrestling. Thank all you guys ten fold! But as I was saying, regardless of politics, I'd be happy just making it in the Indies let alone anything more advanced. I'd rather try it out for size then wonder 'what if' the rest of my life, ya know?
I absolutely LOVE
music. It's the soundtrack to life. I can't imagine living without it. I like to think I grew up on the good 80's music, and ever since then I've been loud and proud. I choose to believe I'm pretty eclectic with my music taste which if you've gandered at, range in mediums. I like what I like, but specifically I'm a big fan of Classic, Alternative & 80's Rock, and varieties of Metal with some others thrown into the mix - like Oldies. Not
AT ALL a fan of Rap.....unless it's the stuff I grew up listening to before becoming bias. Yep, a little Punk in there too. I can rarely tolerate Country.
I'm a big
reader and
writer. I've always considered myself a bookworm of sorts, but lately reading's taken a backseat. If I do any reading nowadays it's because I have the spare time, it catches my eye or I'm simply in the mood for it. As for writing, I think it's one of the best therapies for anyone. I've done a good deal of poetry, a handful of short stories, and so forth. I'm real artsy fartsy.
Finally would be my love of
graphic design. Generally, it's something I've always taken pride in, even the crappy stuff (lol). I originally got into it so I could take up a hobby, but now I've advanced much further. I'm still not the 'ultimate designer' around, but I do well enough for my own taste. I'm big in contributing my work for layouts for my websites, and others I use while roleplaying in various e-feds - my other extracurricular activity. For those of you clueless on what an
e-fed is, it's a fantasy wrestling federation. Silly to some, but it's fun, and definately works my writing skills. Hell, if I did have the right voice, I could turn out some wicked promos.

The Little Mermaid. I'm also a HUGE fan of classic movies cira 30s, 40s, 50s. I mark for Marty Scorsese flicks! Marlon Brando is god.
