Louisville's own Corn Whiskey

About Me

It takes a lot of ingredients to make a great Corn Whiskey. Corn Whiskey, a new band to the Louisville area, is no different. Formed by three area musicians the band borrows from rock, bluegrass, punk, blues, and even a little country to form its unique sound. Corn Whiskey is formed up by drummer Joseph Poff, bass guitarist Chad Peters, and vocals/guitarist Jamie Lawson. Though only a three man band; Corn Whiskey packs a powerful punch that is sure to please those looking for a danceable groove on a Saturday night. All three members of the band played together with the band “Even The Odds” a mostly acoustical driven band. Later Peters and Lawson joined with other Louisville musicians to form a more rock oriented “Focal Point” which had success playing in the Louisville music scene. As with many bands “Focal Point” members went their separate ways but Peters and Lawson still wanted to continue making good music. By chance the guys reunited with Joseph Poff and the first batch of Corn Whiskey was created.Keep your eyes open for Corn Whiskey to be hitting the bars and clubs in Louisville. Soon Corn Whiskey hopes to record some of there newly written material and spread the flavor of Corn Whiskey across the Bluegrass.
