It isn't memories that keeps us going. Being love and needed is what keeps us from dying inside. People facing deaths don't think about what degrees they have earned, what positions they had held or how much wealth they had accummulated. At the end, what really matters is who you loved and who loved you.
Competition is easier to accept if you realize it is an act of aggression or abbraison. What ever you want in life, other people are going to want too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it.
The marvellous richness of human experience will lose something of rewarding joy if there were no limitation to overcome. No matter how high you fly or how hard you fall, an individual has to dig deep within oneself to acknowledge his mistake and find the spiritual to rise again.
