I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

I try to live my life to the fullest- including living it day by day and noticing the beauty in what life and people have to offer. This also means I want to stay abreast of social justice issues and have balance. At this time, I still think I have plenty of time to learn and figure that out.

My Interests

Watching movies (especially indie and foreign films), yoga, hiking, trying out different cuisines and drinks, drawing, dancing, live shows and performances, museums, travels; giving my two cents on fashion and food/wine and just spending time with friends and getting some sunshine.

I'd like to meet:

people with similiar interests- those who wish to make a difference in this world (locally, internally, internationally, etc), those who are creative and artistic and those who love the simple pleasures in life including the outdoors. I use this portal to KIT with my friends and to be inspired by others. Also, it's a great way to listen to up and coming musicians!

Music:

Old school, a bit of rock, introspective and indie. Love Imogen Heap, Jason Mraz, Snow Patrol, Blond Redhead, Jem, Madonna, Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay, Emma Lou Harris, Juanes, Mana, Muse, Green Day, Afro-Cuban music, KCRW and of course, my new friends in myspace! You guys rock!

Movies:

Recently saw films at the Korean American Film Festival in NY; loved Planet B-Boy! Enjoyed The Diving Bell and Butterfly and Kiterunner. Intrigued by Michel Gondry. Gimme different genres, foreign and independent films and documentaries and you're on my page. During those days of fatigue and stress, there's nothing better than a good ol' light hearted comedy. I have too many fave films...

Television:

BBC, Democracy Now, Gilmore Girls, Conan, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Travel Channel, Bravo, CUNY, Project Runway

Books:

Started reading Amazing Grace by Jonathan Kozol and am planning to read Tenants of East Harlem afterwards. Finished reading SNOW by Orhan Pamuk. Recommend Pamuk for Turkish culture. Recommend my last read "History of Love" by Nicole Krauss. One of my favorite books is Blindness by Jose Saramago. I enjoy different genres but they must have either cultural, historical (including controversial) philosophical significance and/or engender inspiration or provoke thoughts.

Heroes:

Ordinary human beings doing extraordinary things every day!
