The black metal band Crucifixion was found in 1998 by Dave and Julz. Due to initial line-up problems the band was not complete until the joining of Kring in 2000 and Thomaz in the spring of 2002.With this line-up songs were to be written quickly and the first live-gigs followed. In the end of 2002 the band entered the studio to record their first demo, entitled “Razorblade Symphonies†(released in 2003). After bassplayer Julz had to leave the band in 2003 due to personal reasons, the three remaining members created new material in order to release the second demo “Necro†in 2003 which was followed up by the 2005 release of the promo-cd “Intoxicate†which is supposed to be an appetizer for the upcoming full-length album “Pain Entranceâ€. It was not until the year of 2005 when the line-up could be completed again with bassplayer Stone and guitarplayer Sven.
What followed was a bank of live presentations at home as well as abroad and Crucifixion enforced to an energetic live act. In 2006 first recording-activities for “Pain Entrance†album have been stopped, because the band was unsatisfied with the working flow and the individual achievements.
Due to the complex situation in the band and the difficult time arrangement Crucifixion decided to reorganize themselves and to develop a new methodology concerning song writing and recording matters and the next two
years the band worked step-by-step to fulfill all needed conditions to develop a new working climate.
The fact that vocalist Thomaz left the band in late 2007 shouldn’t denote
an insuperable barrier and drummer Kring took command over the vocals.
This choice hit the spot and the new quad formation exposed as immensely productive.
At the moment the band is working non-stop on the self-produced full length
album and feels optimistic about causing quite a stir with their own perception of modern Black Metal.
