About Me


WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF EDGE OF THORNS !!!
We are Edge of Thorns and play Heavy Metal!
Our band was founded in 1996 by Dirk “Duke” Schmitt (v) and
Johannes Schütz (dr). The five musicians with Julian Langer (b),
Achim Sinzinger (rg) and Dave Brixius (lg) have already
released 3 Demo- CDs and the album -ravenland- .
Edge of Thorns played with bands like JUDAS PRIEST, Wizard,
Majesty, Perzonal War, U.D.O., Tankard, Clawfinger, Brainstorm, Freedom Call, Sabaton, Van Canto, Hatesphere, Vengeance,
Rage, Dew Scented, Holy Moses, Subway to Sally and many others.
In November, 2nd, 2007 our new CD -masquerading of the wicked-
has been released. The final mix has been done by
PIET SIELK (Iron Savior, Savage Circus,...) .
Some guestmusicians are playing on that album too:
