I am here for Friends

About Me

m Charlie. I'm from Indiana. I'm 3/4 of the way through my music performance undergrad, and I'm very quickly realizing that I have little to no idea what I actually want to do with my life, but I'm pretty sure if it involves music performance, that involvement is on a scale measured more in terms of bone-crushing riffs displayed and guitar faces made than in terms of contemporary marimba works performed. I like to build guitars, and if I can ever figure out how to work a router, I'll probably bail on law school and just go build guitars for the rest of my life.I like my women like I like my classic rock: lean, stripped-down, and hyper-literate. On that note, I love listening to and discussing music more than just about anything in the entire world, and if I didn't have rock and roll, I'd probably die. I like loud music, and I also like to listen to quiet music played at loud volumes. I like watching movies with people who don't ask stupid questions, and I like reading books by myself. I teach band here in Lexington during the fall- it's the one job I've ever had that I don't hate. My friends are my family, and my family are my friends: My parents are two of my best friends, and I'm at the point where I'm pretty comfortable with that. I marched drum corps for a while: I'll never do it again, and it certainly doesn't define my existence as a musician, but I had a good time while I did it, and I made some of the best friends in the world because of it, so I suppose it can't be all bad, right? And, with that in mind...MYNWA

I'm gonna do what you say and get way out of line...

This has been a most satisfactory day.  I did NOTHING, and it was everything I thought it could be.  The day culminated in me deciding that it was time to gauge my ears to a ridiculous quoti...
