People are complex. You can't boil them down to a category & file them in an "about me" section. There's just too many angles, tid-bits and hues that will be missed. And I'm no different. So bear in mind, this is merely a thin, pasteurised version of me. I am a single father to a wonderful eleven year old boy named Tyler who loves video games (no surprise there), camping, and who dances everytime it snows. He is by far the greatest blessing in my life. I was born and raised in northern Californa (Sonoma & Santa Rosa). Although I no longer live in the area, I still consider it my home. I recently moved to the east coast with the promise of a new job and the hope of living closer to my girlfriend. Up to that point it was a long distance relationship. So the prospect of being able to "see" each other was very appealing. But things didn't work out as I'd hoped. The job never panned out. And the relationship... Well, I don't like to sling mud. I'll just say it was bad and getting worse for all invalved. I have since moved back to the west coast -- Oregon this time. I see this move as an opportunity for me to piece my life back together. I can honestly say my son and I are very happy here, and very hopeful for the future. As far as other random bits of personal info: I joined Myspace a little over a year ago. I have to admit, I'm really surprised by the quality of friendships I've developed here. Being spread across the world, they are, for the most part, online friends only. And yet they treat me like family. It's very humbling. I am acutely aware of all my flaws, and sometimes I feel lass than worthy of such edifying friendships. I am a lucky man. Also, I love music! I find that it often effects my mood, inspires me, and helps me keep an open mind. I love movies for the exact same reasons. I'm also a sucker for movie and music quotes, and will often insert them in emails, comments, or wherever! Yeah, dorky fun! I am generally positive and optimistic. But life has taught me to be realistic as well. So while I see the glass as half full, I am usually suspicious of it. Well, that's about as deep as I go here.
