You know, I'm an easy going kind of guy. It doesn't take much to make me happy. I'd say I'd like to meet someone who is kind, genuine, and has a real three dimensional personality. I've also got a little thing for Christina Ricci. I asked her out on a date once. That was a year ago. I'm still waiting to hear back. But I expect good news. Who could say no to pizza and bowling?
Edgar Allen Poe lived a sad and tormented life (welcome to the club, Ed). As someone who can definitely get into the dark "B" side of a record, I really feel a lot in Poe's writing. "Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." It's so compelling, I get goose bumps every time! With a background as the Virginia State Chief Forensic Medical Examinor, Patricia Cornwell is able to draw on much of her past to paint a disturbingly vivid picture. Absolutely everything her mind produces is taut, well paced and extremely vivid. I recomend beginning with "Postmortem". It grabs hold of your senses from the first page, and is absolutely enthralling through out. I also enjoyed "The Inferno". This was a tough read. Dante Alighieri wrote the etire story as a single poem. Plus it's been translated from its orignal language (Italian or maybe Latin. I'm not sure. It's been a couple of years.) into English. So the "flow" of the dialogue is a little tricky. But I still loved it. To take a virtual tour of Hell throgh Dante's eyes was irresistable.
