About Me

DANCER, ENTERTAINER: OVERMARS ( RAVERS CLAVERS MEMBER) Marlon 'Overmars' Hardy, dancer out of Ravers Clavers crew has been making his presence felt in the entertainment scene and his talent is uniquely jaw dropping, excitement packed and creativity is displayed in his every dance move. Born, Marlon Hardy, August 16,1983, second of three brothers, resides with his parents and brothers in Nannyville Garden, Kingston Jamaica. He started dancing at the tender age of 12. Dancing is in his family as he has a younger brother(Sir Yummy) another 'Raver Clavers' member who also participates in the 'raging bull' dance that won Overmars his recognition in the dancing fraternity. Overmars attended Excelsior Primary, Norman Garden All Age and then went on to Clan Carty High School. His interest in dancing started in 1995 while watching a hometown dancer by the name of 'Fowla' dancing to the popular 'Caveman Sound System' at the market shed center. As a youngster, he would then go home and practice the dance moves until he perfected it. The young Jamaican dancer gained fame later on in the year when he was called in the dancing ring by 'Fowla' at an outdoor party along with the now popular Ding Dong, mars friend for life, another dancer and recording artist. He did the 'Tame the Bull' dance and received an overwhelming applause from the patrons and was declared 'good to go' by 'Fowla' and thus the start of his appearances at parties, fetes and clubs. He was named 'Overmars' by friends in 1998 because of his great admiration and constant referring to the popular Holland worldcup player Overmars. His popularity rose even more while competing with another dancer 'Shortman' at the Asylum Club. Overmars act caught the attention of the late dance icon 'Bogle' and he was invited to go places with the famous dancer along with the other members of the crew. The Jamaican Star has done some highlights on Overmars dancing skills and the dancer appeared in music video 'Jah Love' by artiste 'Sabba Toot'. He is also featured on dance dvd's ' Passa, Passa' volumes 30,45,46,47,50,51, & 53, and 'Gabba Sundays volumes 1 through present. His talent is especially displayed in the dances 'Conquer Them, The Raging Bull and The Spin.' Photographer Aldo Miles has created pictures and poster catalogs of Overmars, some of which can be viewed on www.INTRIGUEENT.com. Overmars look up to all the dancers in the business because each has their own style but he will be a 'Ravers' for life. He has performed in Antigua before and will start his overseas tour on May 28th 2006 in Maryland ,USA , then July 8th in Chicago and throughout the remainder of the year 2006 . His dancing experiences are unlimited as he has danced beside the best of Jamaican dancers and with his many creative sources and untapped potentials, this dancer's purpose is to take it to the next level and create waves all around the world. Currently, the multi-talented Overmars is working on his first single which will be released this summer. Overmars hopes to achieve enough success that will eventually lead to a channel that will enable him to assist his younger brother, 'Ravers Clavers Crew' and future upcoming dancers to embark on an exciting but profitable dance career.
