I love mixing (kinda obvious there), films, going out or staying in with friends, reading, occasionally writing poetry/stories but not as often as I'd like. Maybe that's a good thing (heh heh)
Anyone that doesn't have Glenn Close from "Fatal Attraction" tendencies. Shiny, psycho-issue black mac optional. Besides, I don't own any pets so your out of luck if you ever wanted to whip up a 'suprise pot roast' Oh and obviously Liam Howlett from The Prodigy; reasons which should strike anyone with an ounce of musical common sense as being pretty self explanatory!(coz he is an absolute ******* genius/craftsman of the most highest quality and I'd die a happy man knowing that I got to meet the only person I've ever held anywhere near idol/worship-status, especially for a celebrity!)heh heh
Well my main love is dance music; always has, always will be. My favourite being dance music (but no commercial rubbish - anything 'good' commercial i've heard/got already) my fave group being The Prodigy (Gawd bless em) closely followed by The Chemical Brothers. Really there's WAY too many artists to list but i'll list the genres that way you can pretty much include all the players, big and small, in their individual scenes - house (in all its glorious forms), techno, tech house, electro, trance (just the good stuff thanks)!, breaks, drum and bass. To be honest I like a lot of things across the board and that goes for pretty much other musical genres too (cept country and western and opera) lol
I'm a huge film buff as movies are only second to my love for music. Fave genres are mainly horror and some sci fi stuff, but I love comedies, dramas, hell even rom coms again if it's good or I like it I ain't too fussed! Have to say one of my alltime faves is The Shawshank Redemption but I think that pretty much figures on everone's list and for damn good reason! :)
I find it gathers dust very quickly.
The Yellow Pages! Can't remember who wrote it though....is definately a page turner! :PWell I do like to read but as I mentioned don't get so much time as i'd like so it's mainly periodicals such as Mixmag, DJ Magazine stuff like that. I did read a good book recently called Charlie Big Potatoes by Phil Robinson who's also from Essex so big up slightly intimidating-looking but brilliant writing fella!
Well obviously Mr Howlett as mentioned and outside of that? Darren Emerson from Underworld coz he's partly why I got interested in tech house and mixing and the like as well as obviously Carl Cox, Sasha & John Digweed, Paul van Dyk all the big names out there - mucho respect to you all :D Hmmmm, outside of that? I'd have to say Martin Luther King, Hunter S Thompson, John Cussack and Edward Norton (I know the last two are only actors, but they are both responsible for some of my favourite films of all time. Plus they cool as f**k, are they not?!), David Mitchell from Mitchell & Webb, him in particular because I so have his sense of humour!, whoever is in charge of programming at Channel 4 (no wait, scrub that coz they still allow trash like "Celebrity Big Brother" and "Desperate Housewives" to be shown, tsk) and last but not least, my dad for whom I TRULY owe everything (money-wise for sure on that one heh) :P
