Things that make me happy:My two children(cats), my nieces and nephews, drinking wine with my sisters, my friends that actually understand me, Knobb Creek,and pretty much anything evil, raunchy or disgusting...ooOOOOoo!! And smashing the shit out of electronic appliances! YES!!Things I Like/Sometimes get paid to do: Paint(oils and acrylics), write(I've had poetry and essaies published, but I am very passionate about my journaling and memoirs), act(my history is in musical theatre. I preformed my first show at age 5, was in a traveling showchoir by 10 and preformed at Disney World the following year. I was also in the production Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat(1996)at the Chicago Theatre. While I no longer do musical theatre, I still do some acting. I am trained in improv, but have gained a reputation as a character actress. I have worked for horror/haunt shows all over the country for 8 years now. I have worked as a actor trainer, show manager, costumer, makeup artist and monster extrordinare! I have a unique skill that allows me to do VERY realistic gut eating stunts, and this has brought me attention all over the midwest. I've even been written about in the Chicago Tribume(2005)!It's kinda funny to be known as"that girl who eats the raw shit..." LOL),And do makeup! As stated above, I've been training in makeup for 7 years, working for 5. I have an obvious flare for the gross and disgusting, so I specialize in FX and prosthetics.I work primarily in film, but I also do quite a bit of fashion print work as well. I'm certified in hair/wig works, beauty and correctional, out of kit FX and prosthetics. I'm currently freelancing in Toronto and teaching at a pro makeup school downtown. Television:
Hmmm..not much! I fucking HATE reality shows. I have enough reality in every day life thank you. So, I tend to like animation shows. For example, I absolutely adore Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Oblongs, Venture Brothers, ATHF, Harvey Birdman, Sea Lab.....I even enjoy Robot Chicken, Moral Orel, Inuyasha, Samauri Champloo, The Boondocks. Oh, and I like Fear Factor. It's amazing what people will do for money.
Books:
I just finished a book entitled "Killer Clown:The John Wayne Gacy Trial." It was great! My next book is by one of my favorite authors, Ann Rice and it's called "Lasher." Some of my other preffered authors include Steven King, Charles Bukowski, Hunter S.Thompson, William Burroughs, E.A.Poe, V.C. Andrews, Mark Danielowski and Kate Chopin. I enjoy reading GOOD poetry, and by good I mean soulful, not in perfect iambic pentometer. I enjoy passionate, realistic writing;writing that gets under your skin, into your brain, and nestles deep in the creavases of your subconcious.
Heroes:
I don't really believe in heros...but I do admire these people......Mallory Knoxx, Tori Amos, Shaun Yseult, Rob Zombie, Lizzy Borden, Keith Harring, Bill Hicks, Juliette Lewis....and my Mom. She's fucking amazing.
