About Me

Veysi Yildirim (1975) was born in Turkey. He grew up in The Netherlands with the Islamic tradition, going to a Quran school. Meanwhile he was also educated at a Christian primary school where reading the Bible was a daily ritual. Because of his education in both religions Veysi discovered at a young age that the essence and the messenger of the Islam and Christianity show many similarities and are basically the same.In 1999 Veysi graduated as a director at The School of Fine Arts St. Joost. He achieved the prize for Best Graduate Student of his year. After his graduation he wrote, produced and directed two short movies Free Subjects and The Famous Artist in Rest (both S16mm) which were broadcasted on Dutch television and at various Dutch film festivals. In 2005 his first feature film The Footage of The Shadowless Being (HD-cam and 35mm) was a fact. Produced with a low budget, the movie has recently been sent to international film festivals to find its way on the film market. At this moment his new script Cappadoccia is finished and ready to be produced. The process of organizing film financing for Cappadoccia has started.
