After a solid year, a name change, and countless hours of writing and recording, CIRCUIT FOR THE BLACKOUT is back to cause a ruckus in the Hamilton Indie Rock scene. An exciting live performance is what you'll find typically at one of their shows, along with amazing vocal work, epic guitaring, catchy drumming and heart thumping bass. Having played for 3 years they've become seasoned vets of an amazing and flourishing scene.
Formed in early 2005 by Darren Marranca (Guitar) and Brad Baker (Drums), they began their search for band mates by first contacting Cam Smith (Bass), and then eventually Brodie Simpson(Guitar). Immediately the four began to write while they acquired the missing piece of their puzzle that was Josh Tiller (Vocals). Brodie decided to leave the band for personal reasons, and Jose Batista (Guitar) has been brought in to replace him.
CIRCUIT FOR THE BLACKOUT has spent the past few months writing and recording their debut full length record at Mastermind Studios under the production of Dave Wilson and the band themselves. The album includes instant favorites such as “The Traps and the Trophiesâ€, “The Taste of Youâ€, “Request for Silence†and “The Last Timeâ€, just to name a few.
Since their formation, the band has matured and only gained more experience in the trials and tribulations of writing and performing music. They are ready to take on one of the most important parts of being in a band: touring. With a road worthy van, revamped gear and 5 raring hearts, CIRCUIT FOR THE BLACKOUT will be an unstoppable musical force that’s sure to shatter boundaries and cross the line again and again.
