LS started singing at age 12 with a local New Jersey R&B group known as NIGEL. NIGEL consisted of four of his closest friends. Donald Wilson aka Shamone Styles,
Gifted, James Barnes aka J.B. and himself LaQuay Swaye aka LS. They performed at many talent shows, appeared on local T.V. and radio stations. They also performed as opening acts for celeberties such as: Aaliyah, Red Man, Keith Murray, Profile, Boyz II Men and many others along their teenage years.
LS began as the groups co-lead singer along with Shamone Styles. He began developing his skill as a song writter and later on would develope skills as a producer in the area's of R&B and Hip Hop along with Shamone Styles. As time went on the group broke up and LS and Shamone styles combined to form Slaughterhouse Productions with Grimm_Factor of Music Man productions.
LS afterwards that went into the military in 1999 through 2004, where he was exposeed to various other forms of music in Europe as well as West Coast and Southern Hip Hop, R&B, Alternative Rock, Club and Heavy Metal. He would laterlearn to use those elements of music into his production skills. During that same time period Shamone was doing the same as he started his production company, "Monopoly Beatz", to produce tracks for various other acts who were either trying to make it into the music industry or already was a part in Hip Hop and R&B.
Unfortunatly, Shamone Styles aka Donald Wilson passed away in a vehicle accident in 2004, he was age 25. LS got out of the military to come home and carry on Shamone's Legacy and his memory by getting back with Grimm Factor and restarting Slaughterhouse Entertainment, Hi-Line Productions. LS producing R&B and Hip hop with Grimm's experience as a beat maker for Hip Hop. They added on a team, with upcomming rapper DUB BANGA and ILL WILL.
To this day LS is currently in the works of producing and songwriting to his first solo project which shall go on sale to over 2700 record stores across America, as well as on the internet.
