Notus

Notus began his music career at the age of 16 when he purchased his first guitar. He taught himself to play and after only three months, he joined a punk rock band. The band didn't stay together long leaving Notus without a creative outlet. His interest in music faded, but was reignited when a friend introduced him to the underground rave scene. Influenced by Paul Oakenfold's "Tranceport", Notus knew he had found his place in electronic music. He sold his guitars and purchased his first decks. The music of Sasha and Digweed kept the fire burning until he left his small town in Wyoming and moved to Reno Nevada. In Reno, Notus landed his first gig at a hole in the wall bar named "The Jazz Club". He continued to play at clubs and underground raves, gaining respect from local djs. In a town dominated by hardcore beats, finding an audience was often difficult. Over the years Notus has shaped his sound to fit the vibe of the Reno scene. The result can be categorized as driving progressive house mixed with jackin bass heavy electro.
