Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up;

About Me

..

My Interests

I enjoy sewing, shopping for landscaping, taking pictures, watching people and plants grow. I enjoy reading and television some of the time....as long as it has a plot...no Discovery Channel for me! I love to sit and talk with people, hear what is important to them, help them to see the beauty in themselves.

I'd like to meet:

I would enjoy meeting people who like to talk about more than 'sex and booze'...chuckle. If you like what you are reading, I want to hear about it. If you have learned a new skill or are making changes in your life, tell me about that. If you have grandchildren and are proud of them, well, I am proud of mine too. Life can throw us curves, and we can succumb to the attack, or we can get on top of it and ride it out...and learn to dance a new dance, celebrating the joy, the growth and the pain. I definitely DON'T want to swap war stories. Have had too many of my own....but find I also connect more easily with those who walk with a 'proverbial limp", as a dear friend once put it... Mostly, let's be genuine, and not waste time trying to be impressive. Life is too short.

Music:

I like classical if it is happy and uplifting, Christian music that is the same...not much for old time gospel, also smooth jazz and elevator music! I love the songs from musicals and tend to weave them into my life principals. "A dream that will need all the love you can give...every day of your life for as long as you live...!"

Movies:

Pursuit of Happyness, Far and Away, Sabrina, Mary Poppins, Wyatt Earp, The Sound of Music, Beverly Hills Cop, Beauty and the Beast, Frisco Kid, Liar Liar

Television:

CSI, Law and Order any type, Lost...tho it is getting a bit tiresome, The Closer, 24, Monk

Books:

Imaginations by James Gill, MD is my current read, in addition to the Bible, but have also enjoyed all sorts of historical mysteries, historical fiction, biographies, as well as The Chronicles of Narnia

Heroes:

My daugher Merrisa, my son Jeremy and my son Joel...and my mother. All of these have inspired me throughout my life by their response to difficulty and tragedy, by their determination to overcome obstacles and their willingness to work to grow as people. They are each loyal, loving and genuine and are true to what they believe. Also my talented sister, Suzi...who has overcome and is still overcoming great challenges in life while developing her talent as an artist, her management ability and her gift as a mother and wife.

Whom do I blame?

When a marriage dies, especially a marriage that succumbs to a romantic triangle, who is to blame?  Is it the interloper? the paramour?  the 24 year old flirtatious and deprived single mothe...

So where to from here?

Three months have passed since that horrid day my husband gave me my pink slip. I have wanted to write about it, but have been too horrified to put it in print, too blinded by disbelief to accept it ...

A marriage ending

Three months ago my husband told me he didn't love me, never had...should never have married me and didn't want to be married to me anymore. Now, if I was hearing this from someone else, my first tho...
