Clermont-Ferrand (63), 2002. As a young DJ, D-Jizzle started to mix with a very beginner set (2 belt-drive turntables). He worked by himself and improved his skills watching a lot of videos with the most famous DJs, as the DMC championships. When his mixes began to sound like something, he made some sets for his school parties (Zik&Mix 1 and 2 at IFMA), and in some bars too (BamBar). He also got advices from two DJs, Djam and Pierre from the Tapage shop, who introduced him to the scratch technique.
After some free mixtapes, his studies sent him 6 months to Barcelona and as many to California, more precisely to East Los Angeles. There, he attended the courses of the L.A. Scratch Academy , during fall semester 2005, with the couple of famous professors DJ Faust & Shortee (Big up to the all Rehab crew, specially DJ Denkym, and to all the other students!), and recorded a five-track demo.
By the time to come back home, D-Jizzle was a part of a new band, Parallel Project, created with some friends, by scratching on furious songs.
Then, with his studies done and his diploma hung on his wall, he decided to devote himself to the scratch technique; he took some advice from DJ Eanov.
Now, still trying to get better and better (cause the way to perfection is soooo long), D-jizzle wants to develop his set with the MixVibes DVS software, to increase the many ways to create. According to DJ Neya (Zonamix on 89,4 Radio Libertaire), that could be the future of mixing!
Now D-Jizzle uses Serato Scratch Live and is still working on all its possibilities...
To sum up, D-Jizzle loves travelling, snowboarding too, but nothing is as good as spinning...
Basically, HIP HOP IS THE TRUTH!!!!
