So long, and thanks for all the fish.

About Me

I am a chemist / computer scientist in training. I do not like math (although I am pretty good at it), raw onions, or ponies. Sometimes I forget things. Sometimes I remeber things.

My Interests

chemistry, drum n' bass, spinning records, driving, reading, computers, and many other generally nerdy type things

I'd like to meet:

aliens, muppets, talking animals, and various cartoon characters

AOL & Yahoo IM: evilyota

Music:

Check this out: Free! DnBradio.com
I like a broad variety of music. My playlist includes Ak1200, andy C, Dieselboy, DJ Dara, DJ Sine, Paul Van Dyk, Ludwig von Beethoven, Vivaldi, Gustav Holst, Dj Icey, Maria Callas, Chuch Berry, Ella Fitzgerald, The Ramones, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and many many more from genres across the board. I don't like pop (boybands, britney/britney look alikes, and neo blaxploitation groups) and I have found very little country that I will listen to. I have come to the conclusion that beautiful people make terrible music. Also, I'm not exactly sure what this newfangled "emo" crap is, but I don't like it!

Movies:

Motion pictures are a ploy by the devil to defile our souls! But Pulp Fiction was pretty cool. If you have not seen it, you must see Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Television:

I don't watch any TV since I live in a place where there is no cable! Also, like moving pictures in cinemas, TV is one of the many tools of the devil. However, I like the Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy when it is available.

Books:

The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, Catch 22, Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm, 1984 are some favorites that come to mind. Anything by Mark Twain or Kurt Vonnegut. I too will be a bitter old man one day, and they played the part very well. Oh yeah, and my Organic Chemistry text since it has 3-D pictures!!

"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them." -Mark Twain

Heroes:

is a crappy show.

My Blog

In remeberance of Kilgore Trout

"When Hemingway killed himself he put a period at the end of his life; old age is more like a semicolon," Vonnegut told The Associated Press in 2005. "My father, like Hemingway, was a gun nut and wa...

Moving, school, business....

I am in the process of moving. I am well aware of the fact that moving in the midst of a semester is generally a bad idea, but I did it nonetheless. So now I am even more out of contact with everyone ...

Jailbird (by Kurt Vonnegut)

Hey all you Vonnegut fans out there! I just finished Jailbird. While it's no Cat's Cradle or Breakfast of Champions, it is an interesting look at corperate America with plenty of his trademark wit. Th...
