A versatile performer, Tim Borowski is equally at home in a midfield holding role or as a playmaker.Club
After joining Werder Bremen as a junior in 1996, Borowski broke into the reserves in 1999 and graduated to the senior ranks in 2001/02. A valued member of Bremen's domestic double-winning side of 2003/04, he scored twice in the 3-2 victory against TSV Alemannia 1900 Aachen in the German Cup final. Many consider 2004/05 as Borowski's best season for Bremen as he cemented his place in the starting lineup with some excellent displays and also took a liking to scoring goals, contributing seven in 31 league games. Germany's player of the month in November 2005, he scored ten in an equally impressive 2005/06 campaign.National team

Only on the pitch for three minutes in the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup, he played cameo roles in all of Germany's 2006 FIFA World Cup finals games.Did you know?
