After more than 10 years on hiatus, Teddy Bear Records has announced its re-emergence as a significant national independent record label and publishing company in the music industry.
Based in Washington, DC, Teddy Bear Records promises to be a major force in the recording industry and boasts an impressive roster of talented artist, all of whom offer a new breed of infectious grooves and soulful recordings to mainstream popular culture.
Teddy Bear Records launched its record label on February 7, 2006, with its pre-Grammy Awards “Rock the House,†artist showcase at B.B. Kings blue Club in Universal City, CA. Industry insiders which hosted the event included Chris Thomas, E.U. Band, Lady Day, DuvSac, Comp and Stinky Dink.
The label is in the process of releasing singles by DC based Lady Day and Mississippi rapper DuvSac. In addition, the label has teamed up with one of the most notable clients, Go-Go legend E.U. This partnership previously enjoyed double platinum success with the late 80’s hit “Da Butt,†a single which sparked an international dance craze.
Teddy Bear Records also plans to release a gospel album by Bishop T.D. Fowler.
