Biography
The founder members are:
Den (aka Vince Neil)who has been on the circuit for many years. Den started out in the early 1990's on backing vocals with pop band 'Blackthorn Avenue'.
After 2 yrs Den decided he wanted to be up front and set up his own Classic Rock Band formally known as Bandicoot and after a short period became BandYkoot. With his excellent stage presence Den is the ultimate rocker. ROCK ON...
Paul 'PD' Dunstan (aka Tommy Lee)has been gigging for around 15 years and drumming since the age of 2!. PD has played with various bands including tributes to the Beatles & Commitments and 2000 to 2006 with BandYkoot Classic Rock Band.
PD has always favoured the Rock side of drumming.
Early this year having been hooked on Travis Barker's 'Meet the Barkers' PD decided that he wanted to push his talent further and so looked at many rock bands and Tommy Lee was the one he decided to imitate.
Rob Day-Smith (aka Nikki Sixx) Rob's previous credits include Cool #9 (Joe Satriani Tribute); Legacy; Moose; Renegade.
Prior to forming Motley Crew Rob was bass player for a short period with BandYkoot.
Sten Mars (aka Mick Mars) Sten originates from France & graduated in 2000 from the Music Academy Institute (MAI which is the equivalent of the GIT).
Sten's previous credits include Hylem Shadow '97', Sten Mars Explorer Band '2001', in addition to this Sten has performed with Miranda Fredericks (a black American singer with James Brown Chorist)
With Sten's own band 'Sten Mars Explorer Band' he recorded 2 albums from 2001 to 2003 Whilst supporting them Sten decided to come to London to pursue his career further.
His capacity to display different musical and guitar styles gave Sten the opportunity to play like rock band 'Hatch', a jazzy solo artist 'Melanie Georges, Sandrine Adrien '2003'; Julie & Sten '2004' & funky black singer 'Anna Bongo'& many more...
So the scene is set and 2007 is going to be a very interesting year.....
