About Me

Eager to share my love for humanity on an individual and collective basis. :) Art moves me to no end; I paint, draw, sculp, create art from trash, anything that inspires me. My heart and mind feel most alive when I am engaged in some form of self-expression, be it visual art, music, or dance. Art is an act of meditation. Also a self-proclaimed subnastics guru (subway gymnastics - I can do a wicked flip using the horizontal and vertical handrails). Yoga and meditation have become great tools of self-development for me.I strongly believe that Living in the moment is the only way to live. Not that time shouldn't be invested long-term goals, only that each second - no milisecond - no nanosecond (!!!!) - is absolutely priceless. Much of my thought is devoted to introspection -- I'm very excited about fulfilling my potential as a human being, & helping others do the same. The human body is so incredible and I truly want to teach people how amazing they are, to sieze control of their thoughts, their bodies and their lives. I've always felt a strong drive to heal and intend to devote my life to that end.Would be nice to meet people that share my desire to improve the state of the world, perhaps not in the same way, but with the same motivation to do so. Someone who won't mind pushing me in shopping carts when we go food shopping.

How I believe we should celebrate existence: 1) Know that Every moment is a sacred moment, experience and practice it as such.Life we learn too late, is in the living, in the tissue of every day and hour. --Steven Leacock.I rarely let the word No escape from my mouth. Because it is so plain to my soul that God has shouted Yes! Yes! Yes! to every luminous movement of existence. --HafizHow to experience the holy moment? Stop, breathe, be present in the moment. Feel your heart beating in your chest, feel the warm of your skin, the blood in your veins...you're alive! It's a miraculous thing. The more I learn about the human body, the more I realize how incredibly intricate and well-designed it is. Human beings are expressions of divinity. View yourself this way and the people around you. :)2)Be EMPOWERED: Choose to view yourself as the artist of your life. Your Life is a Masterpiece in the making!!!I like to think of myself as an artist, my life is my greatest work of art. Every moment is a moment of creation, adn each moment of creation contains infinite possibilities. I can do things the way I've always done them, or I can look at all the different alternatives and try something new and different and potentially more rewarding. Every moment presents a new opportunity and a new decision. -paraphrased from "Creative Visualization" by Shakti Gawain.3) Choose to be a "Host to GOD" v.s. "Hostage to your EGO"You are a piece of God. You are a living breathing creation that emanated from the universal mind of the all-creating Source. You and God are the same thing. Very simply put, when you love and trust yourself, you're loving and trusting the wisdom that created you; and wehn you fail to love and trust yourself, you're denying that infinite wisdom in favor of your own ego. It's important here to remember that at every single moment of your life, you ahve the choice to either be a host to God or a hostage to your ego. -- paraphrased from "The Power of Intention" by Dr. Wayne Dyer.Choosing to be a host to God also means not allowing yourself to be defined by external conventions, social constructs, peoples' opinions of you:Always remember the "self" in self-respect. You are not responsible for how others view you. The only thing you are responsible for is your own character. -- don't know where I got this quote!4) Understand Unification of all things via Energy theory. You are simultaneously connected to all other human beings through the same energy we all share. Feel this sense of connection, let love be your expression of it.The PHysical Universe is Pure ENERGY. (Adapted from Creative Visualization, by Shakti Gawain) Physically, everything within and outside of us at its most basic level is energy. Atoms themselves are composed mostly of empty space. We are all part of one energy field...We are all one, even in a literal, physical sense. This energy vibrates at different speeds giving things different densities. Thoughts and human flesh are relatively fine forms of energy and very easy to change.ENERGY is MAGNETIC The law of energies: Energy of a certain quality or vibration tends to attract energy of a similar quality and vibration. Thought and feelings have their own magnetic energy which attracts energy of a similar nature. Thus, you can easily exchange low energy feelings of hatred and depression for high energy feelings of love and happiness. High energy thoughts have actually been quantified scientifically. Think of them like a light source illuminating a dark room. The light replaces the darkness. I beckon you to choose to replace the darkness in your life through eliminating it from your mind. :)THe law of RADIATION and ATTRACTION: Whatever you put into the universe will be reflected back to you. "As you sow, so shall you reap."FORM FOLLOWS IDEA: The idea is like a blueprint. It creates an image of the form, which then magnetizes and guides the physical energy to flow into that form and eventually manifests it on the physical plane. The same principle holds true even if we do not take direct physical action to manifest our ideas. Simply having an idea or thought, holding it in your mind, is an energy that will tend to attract and create that form on the material plane. Ultimately, you are what you think! :)5) Don't allow yourself to be a victim of external circumstances, or even of your own thoughts. Be MINDFUL of your thoughts. Be the silent OBSERVER of your thoughts. Try to recognize conditioned patterns of behavior to interrupt their course in your life.6) Be OPEN to life. Welcome new experiences. Trust that your life has a purpose.THE RIVER: Life is a river. Most people are clinging to the bank, afraid to let go and risk being carried along the current of the river. At a certain point, each person must be willing to simply let go, and trust the river to carry him or her along safely. At this point, he or she learns to "go with the flow" and it feels wonderful. ONce a person has gotten used to being in the flow of the river, he or she can begin to look ahead and guide his or her own course onward, deciding where the course looks best, steering her way around boulders and snags, and choosing which of the many channels and branches of the river she prefers to follow, all the while still "going with the flow." -- adapted from "Creative Visualization" by Shakti Gawain.Alot of times, we create our own resistance to the flow or our life. Try to be sensitive to where you may be creating mental blockages to your own progress.7) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! ! ! :) This can not be said enough. Did you know that acts of kindness extended to others, received, or even simply observed by a third party have the power to boost your immune system? Love yourself first, be the love that you seek, project it even when you don't feel it and you will attract it into your life as an added bonus! Allow yourself to channel love towards others, especially those in need. (Plus it feels amazing.)If anyone reading this profile is in need of something and I can be of any assistance to you, please don't hesitate to email me and I'll do my best to help you move forward. :)) Or if you can recommend a good book or anything like that, that would be smashing.:)

I mean it's like we go through life with our antennas bouncing off one another, continuously in ant autopilot, with nothing really human required of us. Stop. Go. Walk here. Drive there. All action basically for survival, all communication simply to keep this ant colony buzzing along in an efficient, polite manner. " Here's your change." "Paper or plastic?" "Credit or debit?" "Do you want katsup with that?" I don't want a straw! I want real human moments! I wanna see you. I want you to see me. I don't wanna give that up. I don't wanna be an ant, ya know? -- Waking Life
