the connection between internet lingo (ex. OMG) and our decrease in brain cell activity .... also, i like books, music, theater, dance, aesthetic theory, james joyce's use of symetry based on the number three (ah!), oscar wilde's wit, freud's theories, greek tragedies and cookies. also, i love those cards from places like cvs and food emporium that get you those points for free cards or fresh zucchini that go on your key chains.
Lisa Loeb, Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton, David Bowie. And Twyla Tharp.
i really just love 95.5 plj simply because i know that within a 15 minute period i will hear chasing cars, lisa loeb's you say, and if i'm lucky, rod stewart. something to be said for consistency; and i really like showtunes. especially whole soundtracks played on the bqe.
transvestite musicals are key in my collection -- the rocky horror picture show (damn it janet), hedwig as well. along those cult lines i also enjoy the wall and tommy. outside of those obscure musically based cinema classics i love the old horror movies and the wizard of oz. amelie is art. top indies include gods and monsters, theory of flight, twin falls, mr jealousy.recently i noticed i have a strong interest in films that star classic rocks stars. Srgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is a favourite - i mean, between Steve Martin dancing and Peter Frampton and the BeeGees saving the day (not to mention Aerosmith as the bad guys. mmmm), I'm a happy girl. Labrynth is clearly god's gift to the world. And where would we be without Hard Day's Night and the Yellow Submarine.
Okay, I admit it I watch cartoons. I do love adult swim as well as John Stewart. TV is not my form of escapism, I don't know what you're talking about ...
Currently I'm reading: Moral Disorder - Margaret Atwood; Ecrit - Lacan;
most boys with guitars (joke).
