About Me

My name is Silas.
I am a Christian, and seeking to know God better is highest goal in my life. Because of this, much of my life is centered around God. I especially enjoy being with fellow Christians, and people who center their lives around God, and because of this I spent lots of time at church, and various church-related functions. Currently, I attend Neighborhood Church of Castro Valley, and I consider it an amazing privilege to convene with people so passionately living for God. I especially appreciate the hard work of our pastors and church leaders, since their example and teaching are so helpful to me. In time I hope to grow and learn more, so that I too can help others out more in their walk with God.
Beyond that, my life is fairly simple. I am a full-time student taking classes at Chabot College, as well as engaging in various forms of distance learning. I also work part-time at Ajax Custom Manufacturing, a company that my grandfather owned and founded. It is a great privilege to be working there since I have amazing co-workers, and unparalled opportunities to learn many different aspects of the business.
Music is my primary hobby, and I love listening to, arranging and composing various pieces. I am primarily a bass player, but I dabble with guitars and keyboards a little as well. While I am still very inexperienced, little by little I am learning more and coming to more fully enjoy the complexity and beauty of the art. I play and write in many styles, but my long-term goal is to write and play Christian Rock.
Naturally, this is a very small verbal sketch of my life, and I am fascinated by many things. Although this blurb may help you to get an idea of who I am, and what I live for, the only realy way to learn about me is to get to know me personally... and I welcome it.

What To Do When You Have Fallen Into Sin

God: The Beginning and End

This morning as I was reading Isaiah, I stumbled across a seemingly standard, unspecial verse. Isaiah 41:4b reads, "I, the Lord, am the first; and with the last, I am He." This is in reference to God ...
