Sophie Lancaster died at the young age of 20 and her boyfriend Robert Maltby, also a goth, suffered serious head injuries, but survived this shocking assault. The only motive of the attackers was that their victims looked different to them.We live in a society where it has become more evident that appearance means everything. People are judged by what they wear; their weight, the way they look and more. Is it fair to judge others just because of what we see on the outside?I was reading an article about a young lady who made a shocking comment about judgement and appearance and I came to understand that things in this world will only get worse. She said:"In a recent study college students were shown to be more narcissistic than other generations. DUH! And it's only gonna get worse. People have to be self-centered in this world. Appearance is everything and taking care of yourself should always be your first priority. You are judged everyday by the way you look. No one cares to get to know anyone now... Anyone who has ever helped boost our ego is to blame... Oh well, what can we do about it now? I along with many others will continue to be self-centered. I will continue to judge people by appearance just like you will judge me."It is clear that human beings are becoming more self centered and selfish as the days go by, but who's to blame? Our parents for teaching us to love ourselves no matter what; or our peers who only see what is external before getting to know what really lies within? In my personal opinion, people judge others to cover up their own faults and conflicts that are not visible on the outside. If you are not at peace with yourself, so how can you be at peace with others?Everyone must take the time and effort to search inside to resolve whatever problem, pain or hurt that exists, so that way we can truly love ourselves inside and out and spend less effort judging others by their outward appearance; We need to take the time to get to know people for who they truly are.I hope you are not offended by this article as I am only giving my opinion and you are free to make your own assumptions.We are a product of our own thoughts.2 ..

..World love: this is the key to the inspiration of artist all over the world. It is a theme in the majority of songs and poems of almost all nations. In the name of love, people have done good and bad. In the name of love, people have done many bad things, for love has been mistaken for uncontrolled passions mixed with selfishness and corrupted by those who pervert god’s truth and purity. The reason why humankind is ignorant of love is because they disregard the fact that before they can love, they need to know where love comes from. God’s love: is wonderful the moment we meet him, we are all invited to take part in his love through the Lord Jesus. He said, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. When we accept this divine love, we begin to understand its greatness and extent. Love suffers long and its kind; love does not envy ; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things believe all things, hopes all things, endures all things love never fails. World joy: the joy of the world, which is often produced by the human mind, jokes, drunkenness and the like. It lasts for a moment and when it passes it often leaves sadness and unbearable pain. God’s joy: however, springs from deep within our hearts and last forever. No one can take it away from us, (No pain or suffering can take the joy of God away.) for the joy of God is like a fountain that flows more freely with the water left by the storms. World peace: many people in this world think they can achieve peace by using money to solve their problems. Because they think they will enjoy peace once all their problems are gone, they do not think twice before spending large sums of money on dinks, drugs and women etc to get rid of their problems, but it last for a moment and leaves sadness and awful pain. God’s peace: when the Lord Jesus was teaching His disciples to do the work of God, though facing all kind of persecution and problems, He was able to keep a profound sense of inner peace and consequently, pass it on to them. He said, ..PEACE I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’ (John 14.27) Writing by AJOK MALEK
