About Me

Get this video and more at MySpace.comGet Your Own! | View SlideshowIt all started at age 14. A class project was the start of a career that would span over a decade. Aaron "Godson" Hernandez (25) cut his first demo with his group "Unonymus Inc." at age 16. The group later became the first NWT hip hop group to release an album in 1998 titled "Redemption". The next year they released "U2K: Unfamiliar Territory". They were nominated to become YTV Acheivement Awards Finalists both years. The group disbanded in 2000 and Godson formed a new group called "Liquid Eyez". They released "The Game" in 2001 and went on to perform at CBC's True North Concert. In 2002 Liquid Eyez added some new members and released "Ice Riderz". The album soon became a huge success in the north and started to make waves in the south as well. The group disbanded in 2003. In 2003 Godson won the CBC North Slam Poet competition and placed 8th in all of Canada. Aaron decided it was time for his solo career to kick off. With too much material to release in one album, Godson decided to make this project a trilogy. Volume One was released at the end of 2003. In 2004, he recorded and filmed a commercial for the GNWT Department Of Transportation for Drinking and Driving Prevention. The commercial airs regularily on CBC and also kicked off Trilogy Volume two "The Track Dealer". 2005 was definately the biggest year yet. He opened for the likes of Great Big Sea and again for Charlie Major. Trilogy Volume three "Arctic Reign" was released later that year. 2006 opened up with a try out for Canadian Idol when it stopped in Yellowknife and advanced to the Vancouver celebrity judges audition. Godson received the opportunity to write a song for the hit show Canadian Idol. And what came next? THE VIDEO!!!
