The antidote to hypocrisy is humility! - Nancy Gibbs

About Me

Simply put: I love life, love to entertain, love nurturing, am a kick ass cook and party host, and love my horses...I'm open, sincere, outgoing, vivacious, nurturing...I love being in the middle of activity, love the outdoors, love socializing, and damn love my horses (just to be sure that's clear)...I'm kind, loving, bubbly, accepting, and a marvelous listener. I look for the good in everyone and have discovered it's easier to find than most people think. Risks, I can take; missed opportunities disappoint me. I've travelled rather extensively, and am addicted to expanding my experiences. My life is pretty incredible, and I am extremely grateful for everything that I have and am proud of the results of my hard work and dedication to personal growth! The reward has been fantastic.

My Interests

horses, literature, family, words, mountains, snowboarding, painting, planning parties

I'd like to meet:

People who enjoy deep conversation, other people, travel, scrabble (and boggle), and food - I strongly dislike arrogance in people, and those who place the blame on everyone else and are always looking for excuses...I adore people who are strong enough to see who they are; brave enough to be proud of their achievements and attributes; and have both the strength and the courage to work on the things that aren't so attractive. Focusing on personal growth is just as important to me as being physically fit! I respect people who are socially AND self aware, self-confident, and independent.

Music:

From Classical to R & B to Rap to Rock, whichever fits my mood...BUT, some of my favorites include: Alexi Murdoch, KT Tunstall, Liz Phair, Michael Penn, Buddy Judge, Damian Rice, Black Eyed Peas, Evanesance, Eminem

Movies:

East is East, My Son the Fanatic, A Bug's Life, Billy Elliot, Office Space, Amelie, Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge, Snatch, The Hours, Secretary

Television:

Not a big TV fan...

Books:

Ulysses, Light in August (or anything else by Faulkner), Anne of Green Gables, The Hours (and thus, Mrs. Dalloway), The Secret Agent, Mill on the Floss, Portrait of a Lady

Heroes:

My brother, Jake. Couldn't ask for better.

My Blog

Grateful

I'm just HAPPY. Period. It could be the first time in my life that I'm able to honestly say those words with no reservations. My business is developing (slowly, but moving forward), I've got my husb...
