Sometimes being a Mother is hard, and it hurts.

About Me

Hi everybody, I am a wife and a mother of four boys. I've have been a follower of Christ for a little over a year now, and am so happy with the changes that are taking place in my life. My boys are 16, 14, 4, and 3. Toddlers and teenagers- Oh My! I am a Loan Officer in Modesto, and help people leverage the equity in there homes and purchase homes. I went to school in Wasilla, AK and have been here in California for 17 years. Total Sunshine State Girl now, there's no going back. I love to go out on our boat wakeboarding with my family and friends. I love camping, reading, and shopping!...A Poem for Patrick and Miles..........................with love........................................................ ..I loved you enough to bug you about where you were going, with whom and what time you would get home........................................................ ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to insist you buy things with your own money, which we could afford, and you couldn't.................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover your friend was a creep....................................................... ............................................................ ... I loved you enough to stand over you for two hours while you cleaned your bedroom, a job that would have taken me 15 minutes..................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to let you see anger, disappointment, disgust, and tears in my eyes........................................................ ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to feel the pain of an unexcused tardy....................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough not to make excuses for your lack of respect or your bad manners..................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to admit that I was wrong and ask for your forgiveness................................................. ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to ignore "what every other mother" did or said........................................................ ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to let you stumble, fall, hurt, and fail........................................................ ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to let you assume the responsibility for your own actions, at 6, 10, or 14.......................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to figure you would make bad choices, but forgave you for it...after discovering I was right....................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to shove you off my lap, let go of your hand, be mute to your pleas and insensitive to your demands...so that you had to stand alone....................................................... ............................................................ ....I loved you enough to accept you for what you are, and not what I wanted you to be.......................................................... ............................................................ ....But most of all, I loved you enough to say no when you hated me for it. That was the hardest part of all.Comment Me

My Interests

Since having children, interests have gone by the way-side. But if I had a few more hours in each day, I would have the pleasure of playing the flute again. I would write poetry about the whims of the day. I would surely find more time to devote to God. I would join a volley ball league or at least take a class. I would love to join a buncko group and play with a group of old women.

For Miles.............................................Nothing so wonderfully made and caring as you Miles The one I brought into this World And in the light of day or night Your smile shines on my heart So sweet with so much love Nothing as radiant as you Miles Your love so priceless. So grateful I am To have brought you here To see this World And carry your heart in mine My face My eyes Light in yours My soul and name engraved In your hands and feet My smile you tend to reflect But your beauty is so much more a wonder How priceless Yourlove for me I see it sometimes The sacrifices you have made for me Every stitch of my being Is perfected with a simple kiss on my cheek That tells wonders of the love I have received from you Since the day I held you Till the day I die My heart carries your love My care and concern for you will never die I know you so well I know your heart and feelings I was a part of your first breath Your first cry as my son So priceless are you Miles So wonderful are you And I cry when I can't help you And I make mistakes Inside my heart bleeds When I can't save you From your unhappiness Or solve those certain things I am sorry And when I see you happy I'm elated And my heart aches the most When I think of when I may have hurt you Making you unhappy with something I do So much anger and sadness I have caused you I am sorry When I did something wrong You have forgiven me And I pray at night That you will be happy Your dreams come true Your sadness ridden And that someday I will be strong and bold as you With a heart so simple and clear And a smile so enchanting My love for you is infinite I cannot even describe I have made you cry I am sorry I hope you know How much you mean to me For your happiness I can endure anything Because nothing is as pure and uncomplicated As my love for you And your love for me (still there, deep) I know I love you son And nothing that happens can change how I feel You shall always be my beautiful son.
