I am happiest when Ypsilanti dwellers from all walks and ways get together. I love to hear people talking about how to make me a better place to live. Because while I am a really interesting place to live, I have my issues. I need a fuller downtown business area, I need more walkable commodities (such as grocery stores), I need more punk spaces.
I am interested in the people who want to help make a difference in Ypsilanti by helping the downtown revitalize, people who join their neighborhood associations and actually are productive (meet their neighbors, pick up trash on my veins, oh i mean streets)....People who shovel their sidewalks (regardless of if they rent or own)....People who know that I used to be a wetland...People who try to visit the business establishments in the entire ypsilanti. I'd like people to use this page to talk about me, post events, network, place classifieds, and think of ways to work together to make me the best place I can be. I already am way cool (yes, I'm a michigan Cool City) but there are so many more ways that the people who live here could work together. Like, i know this person who wants to borrow a lawnmower. Why can't someone else help out? Why do you all need lawn-mowers? i don't know, maybe you all do. But maybe you don't.
I encourage you to join me at the Corner Brewery, or the Tap Room or Sidetracks (there are many other great others)! I love shopping at the Ypsilanti Food Coop. There is great coffee at Bombadill's and the Ugly Mugg. My fav. restaurants are Sidetracks, Da Lot, Hana, the sushi place by Champion's Gym, Tuptin, and La Fiesta.
Join me at beerfest, elvis fest, the umpteen car shows, heritage festival, latino festival, lgbt Pride festival...

People. People from here, people living here. The trees, the grass, the flowers, the birds, squirrels and skunks.
