CaZal

Cazal stands for Cari Zalloni, the legendary Product Designer who revolutionized the Frame Design for Glasses. Born in 1937 in Athens/Greece with Italian an Austrian Roots, he moved to Austria at the Age of 10. After graduating School, Cari Zalloni studied Chemistry but quitted soon to attend at Design MasterClass of Prof. Oswald Haerdtl in Vienna. In ´60 he started to work as freelance Interior Designer in Siena, Italy, where a young, progressive Scene developed a new unique Style of Interior Design. In 62 he returned to Austria where he worked as a pioneer at the field of Eyeglasses Design. His first Collection ran under the Brand Saphira. With developing the succesful Design for Création Cazal in 1975 Cari Zalloni became a Legend. He blessed Faces with Gems like the 607, the 904, the breathtaking 951 and many other that can`t be mentioned here. Today Cari Zalloni is still the Head Designer of Cazal eyewear and continues his work like in the first days. Cari Zalloni is not only doing Art for Faces.
