Born in 1996 Skalie is a legendary seminal ska band in Jakarta, being part of the first wave of ska and rude boy movement, They used to cover songs from The Specials and Madness at the early performances, with their rude boy style and their chaotic attitude they've got much attention from the people in the scene at the time along with their slogan "Sex Drugs And Rocksteady", in 1999 Hadi the vocalist try to committed suicide by jumping from the 3rd floor of the rehearsal studio they used to hang out, save with a broken head and left a long scar on his front head. After got bend in almost every venue because of all the violence on the audience in every gigs that they played and getting further from reality causing by their drugs addicted from every personal Skalie dismissed them selves in late of 2002. in early 2004 they rebuild with the latest personal Hadi (Vocal) Opick(guitar) kentang(bass) Botaxz(Drum) Yoga(keyboard) skalie start to make to make a positive come back appearances and the new attitude, they finally getting their audiences back. in July 2007 Skalie finally Released their 1st Debut album "For Sale".
