I want a language that speaks the truth. -Studs Terkel

About Me

I'm a man, just under 6 feet tall, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes, 1 buddha belly. After 33 years of living in Chicago, and 7 years of talking about moving, I quit my job and and relocated to Seattle. I'm so glad I did. Everything is new again, and I like it.

I'm 35 years old and I cannot grow any sort of moustache, beard, or goatee. I can rock that neck scruff that most guys and even some girls had in 7th grade like a champ, though.

Things that I am into come and go. The things that remain are love of music and the friends I make. I'm also into recording my dreams and thinking about what meanings they might hold. I have a lot to say on the matter, so definitely chat me up if you're interested in that too. The internets not only provide me with hours of hilarity/schadenfreude/people watching, they also allow me to keep in touch with important people in distant lands and make a living.

Zombies are my favorite monster. They're just so squishy. I hope to someday roam the earth, undead, in search of brains.

In the meantime while my heart still beats, I like to spin records and cobble together loops and samples into song like structures, but I never seem to finish any of them. I'm not a composer, but I once scored part of a kung-fu musical. I'm not a photographer, but a photo I took is getting published in a book.

My Interests

steady dorkin', music + writing + films, dreams, snowboarding, being in the mountains, traveling, word sound power, art, bicycling, mythology, computers/the interweb, buddhism and taosim, beats and bass, DJing, video games, food, horror/sci-fi/fantasy/comics/fiction, chicago cubs fan forever.
