MR. Bonez was born on the streets of southern California to a single welfare mother who tried her best to raise her only son in a world of drugs,violence and poverty.
Ultimately losing the battle, Bonez wound up in gang affiliation, jails and drug dealing. Years later, after a number of dead homies, a son and a failed marriage Bonez decided to relocate to Texas where he recieved his GED, won a scholorship and went to college for music. Bonez had been involved in music his whole life and thought "Why not make a good thing better?"
Bonez has been rapping since 1993 and has made quite a name for himself, but thought the schooling would improve him both lyricaly and musicaly. It worked. After struggling on the underground rap scene He was later approached by a young female producer who helped get him into the business and later introduced Bonez to Matt Garretson, owner and operater of "FIRED UP RECORDS". After hours of negotiations, fine print and encoureging performances, Matt decided to sign Bonez to the label into which he is now apart of.
Bonez blends his style of rhyme to blues, funk and hip-hop, along with haunting memories of his childhood and street-life. A "must listen" for hard timers.
