About Me

Howdy folks! I'm a thirtysomething New Englander living in the lovely town of Sharon, MA. I live with my wonderful husband Tony, and his fraternal twin brother, Joe. I work as a fund administrator for State Street, where I've been for over 7 years. In my spare time, I am a big sci-fi fan, and am part of both Starfleet and Unit (the US branch of the Dr Who fan club). My Starfleet chapter is the USS Ares, based out of Boston (www.ussares.org). I also volunteer with United Fan Con Inc, which for those of you who don't know yet is holding a convention called the New England Fan Experience in Boston this year(for all the fun check out www.unitedfancon.com or www.nefe.us.) I love music (I sing in my church's choir-second soprano), art, theater, reading and writing, card games, geocaching, cooking, and sports-especially football, most especially Patriots football :).E se tu parli italiano, ciao e benvenuti a questo website, anche!

My Interests

Sci-fi, music, geocaching, sports, good books, art, history, science, and many other things-I suppose I want to be like the old philosopher Aristotle-who knew a little about everything in his time.

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

What Tarot Card are You?

I'd like to meet:

No one in particular. Just here to hang out and have a good time. So long as you're not trying to sell me anything, or are obnoxious, it's cool...

Music:

Anything from Mozart to Mettalica, my tastes are eclectic.

Movies:

Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Under the Tuscan Sun, Galaxyquest, The Three Amigos, the Terminator movies, The Back to the Future trilogy, Most Star Trek movies, the Harry Potter movies, A Conneticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Erroll Flynn's Robin Hood, Evita, Rio Bravo, Ben Hur, Last Holiday, Bend it Like Beckham, and Pirates of the Carribean to name a few.

Television:

Star Trek, Dr Who, Xena, Hercules, Heroes, NCIS, Till Death, Boston Legal, House, 30 Rock, My Boys "Whose Line is That, Anyways," Hell's Kitchen, Coupling, Flash Gordon, Chuck, Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Smallville are among the shows I like. I also watch football and baseball games on tv. I enjoy the concerts PBS puts on. Some of my favorites from those include the Celtic Woman, Andre Rieu, and the do-wop concerts. Which Buffy Character Are You?
You're Buffy!
You are strong, confident and selfless. You would do anything for your friends and family, even strangers. Your great with puns and even though your life can really suck, you still manage to keep going. You've got great friends and they are a reflection of you. Your just an amazing, kick-ass person!

Books:

Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy, The Chronicles of Narnia, most of Shakespeare's plays, the Harry Potter Books, The Godfather Books, The Casca series, and I know there are many others, but I can't think of them at this moment.

Heroes:

"Save the Cheerleader, Save the world." :) My score on The RPG Class Test :

Ranger
(74% Combativeness, 56% Sneakiness, 41% Intellect, 52% Spirituality)

Combative, stealthy, and spiritual; you are a Ranger!Rangers are the warriors of the woodlands. Stealthy, skilled in combat, and capable of casting spells, they are fearsome opponents and skilled hunters. Rangers are usually accompanied by an animal companion and have a tendency to either use a bow, or to wield a melee weapon in each hand.Sneaky, aggressive, and faithful, though not overly inclined towards that "book learning," you're probably a pretty dangerous person when you want to be. You may be a staunch defender of the forests, but I don’t trust you.

sigh

So the law of averages finally kicked in. Unfortunately, we kind of knew this day would come. Win lose or draw, the Pats are still a great team, and to make it to the AFC is good in itself. Well, l...
