About Me

I'm a graphic designer by day, and an electronic musician by night. I currently work as the senior designer at a printing company. At first I really liked doing design professionally but now, I'm starting to hate it. There is only so much bad design you can be forced to make, and most people wouldn't know a well designed print piece if i wrapped it around a bat and beat them into bloody sludge with it. I used to design the vast majority of the flyers for electronic music events in the CNY area, so there's a decent chance if you live in the CNY area that you've seen my work at some point or another over the last 7 years.NOTE: To all of you who have asked me the following question: "If you're a graphic designer why do you still have the same shitty myspace layout that you start with?" The answer is: "Fuck off. I do design for money so unless you care to pay me to make it look nice you can just suck it."I love all things technology, particularly audio equipment and computers. I am a software whore. sometimes I capitalize and sometimes i don't. get over it. I spend the vast majority of my waking time staring at this glowing screen. I heart 1's and 0's. I used to compose hard techno and electro breaks. occasionally i played it for people at those "rave party things". Occasionally meaning almost never. Nowadays I compose what i like to call downtempo electro. I don't think there really is such a genre, but thats the best i could come up with. I suppose my music, while still electronic, isn't very dance oriented at this point. i don't bother accepting bookings anymore, so it's pointless to ask. i'm lookin at you rave promoters. quit emailing me for flyers or live performances. seriously. however, if you're in need of some serious print design, feel free to inquire. my rates are always quite reasonable.I hate raves. I hate ravers. I hate trance music. I hate your mom. I hate your grandma for having your mom. I hate American "politics." I love electronic music. I love graphic design. I love geeky girls. I love bad sci-fi. I love my computer. I love toast. I love unfiltered european cigarettes. I love coffee. I hate almost everything else. Almost. AOL Instant Messenger: nathancipher
