I'm not sure how long we can make this section, but I'll try and keep it relatively short. I love football, baseball and golf. I love Mustangs, Jeeps, and all things Mopar. In terms of movies, I love action and comedy. Music, you name it, I love it - or can at least appreciate it. Country is my least favorite, but I do like Shania, Reba and Faith Hill. My favorite getaways on the East Coast are Lake George, Cooperstown, and Atlantic City. I haven't explored much of the neighboring areas, so this list is tentative. My favorite getaways on the West Coast are L.A. (including Catalina Island), Vegas, and Santa Barbara. And, yes, I like to gamble - big on blackjack and still attempting to master poker. Oh, and I'm also a pool shark and karaoke queen.
I'd like to meet awesome locals who are fun, friendly and most importantly down-to-earth. Unfortunately there seems to be a major shortage of real, cool people in the LA area. I'm not a big fan of "gossip folks" as Missy Elliot so eloquently put it. If you are fun, laid back and genuine, drop me a line and maybe we can chill sometime. Otherwise, save that high school drama for someone with too much time on their hands.
Wow - again, too much to list. I'll pick favorites from each genre to make this easier on the both of us. Hip-Hop/Rap: Eminem, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and some Snoop. R&B: Alicia Keys, Aaliyah, Aretha, Nina and all of Ella. Rock: this list contains so many, I can't even think of which ones to list, so I won't try - lol. Pop: Christina Aguilera, Pink, Gwen Stefani. Country: Faith, Shania, Reba and Lonestar (the song "Amazed" WILL be my wedding song - lol). Anyone else, you'd have to ask me about. Favorite music to dance to: hip hop, but I'd love to learn how to ballroom dance too (swing, salsa, etc.).
I love just about every movie that features a female kicking some serious butt. Some of my faves include "Million Dollar Baby," "Pirates of the Carribean," "The Fifth Element," "Matrix," "Cutthroat Island," "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," "Kill Bill" - Volumes 1 and 2, "Pulp Fiction," "Jackass, the Movie," "South Park - Bigger, Longer and Uncut," "Rush Hour" - 1 and 2, "Swordfish," "X-Men" - both of them, "Gone in 60 Seconds," and the Tom Clancy movies with the character Jack Ryan, including "Hunt for the Red October," "Patriot Games," and I can't think of the other ones... Anyways, this list is just of the stuff that's come out in recent years. There's many more, so again, just ask.
"Whose Line is it Anyway," "Drew Carey Show," "South Park," "Family Guy," "Simpsons," "Viva La Bam," "Jerry Springer," "Fear Factor," "Grey's Anatomy," "House, MD," and "Desperate Housewives." Other faves include Oprah, that reality fashion design show with Heidi Klum (blanking on the name), Monday Night Football with John Madden and Al Michaels, and the FOX Sports Pre-Game show with Terry Bradshaw and company.
I want to start reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" and "He's Just Not That Into You." I led my own non-conformist movement against reading any of the "Harry Potter" books. That was fun.
Any strong, independent female who kicks ass on every level is automatically a hero in my eyes. I secretly worship two of my close friends for this reason - Annapurna and Jessica. I will always love and adore you!..
