Over the past 3 years DJ Mowgli (aka Pat Laughton) has quickly established himself as a leader of Toronto’s new generation of “avant-garde†drum and bass enthusiasts as both a DJ and respected promoter. Receiving praise from peers and club patrons alike, DJ Mowgli has become quite renowned for his infectious sets, taking crowds through high peaks and low valleys while touching on all aspects of the drum and bass spectrum. While this man has a flair for the deeper more soulful sounds, his sets know no limits and should certainly not be pigeon-holed, as he can and will bring the heat, displaying an awesome arsenal of upfront music and dubplates. While holding down a very busy DJ schedule, and continuing to throw successful parties for capacity crowds under the Two-Tone moniker, 2007 witnessed the birth of the Two-Tone Mix Show on the infamous Jungletrain.net. Running weekly from 9-11pn EST the Two-Tone Mix Show features local and international artists and is co-hosted by Two-Tone residents DJ Darkside Flow and MC LA.With several markee events already planned, 2008 is set to be another banner year for DJ Mowgli and the Two-Tone family as they seek to further diversify their brand with the formation of Two-Tone Recordings. Producers involved in the project will include top Canadian exports Mutt (Creative Source, Renegade, Horizons), Nusense (Future Thinkin, MACII), and Grimm (Make:Shift Records). Expect 360 degrees of Drum and Bass being showcased on the label which will see releases starting mid way through the year.Watch this space……………
