MPACT MEMPHIS PARTY OF THE YEARThroughout the nation, the battle for the best and brightest is heating up. Data from the National 2000 Census shows that there will be a 10 million-person work shortage nationwide by 2008. Memphisâ€™ ability to recruit, retain, and engage the next generation of bright young professionals will determine its future. MPACT Memphis is on the front lines of talent retention by engaging, empowering and inspiring this talented demographic. Since its inception in 2001, MPACT Memphis has grown to have over 1,000 members. Our main objective is to grow young professional involvement and influence in shaping and showcasing a Memphis region that is more attractive to young, diverse talent.

MPACT believes a city impacted by young professionals can attract and retain them. The more informed, involved and networked young professionals are, the more influence they will have on who Memphis is and what she becomes. The programs offered by MPACT Memphis give young professionals access to the who, what and where that is unique to Memphis, connect young professionals with emerging leaders and service opportunities, welcome newcomers and student interns to the city, and keep young professionals current .. community issues.
