Co-owner & label-manager of Amazement Entertainment-KellennySongz, this Maryland-born, & Virginia-raised native turned Germany into his second home, after completing an impressive term of service in the U.S. Army. Although wanting to pursue a more, prosperous career in electronics, his affinity towards music (as well as his many ties and friendships to musicians around the world) seemed more fitting, and at the same time, opened new doors of development.The very first albums he ever bought were all rap-records. These included UTFO's 'UTFO', Whodini's 'Escape' & Eazy-E's 'Eazy-Duz-It'. 'At that time, a lot of my friends were deep into Run D.M.C., which was cool and all, but I was a heavy fan of Whodini & Big Daddy Kane. When they used to drop '5 Minutes Of Funk' on the radio, and the DJ's would do all kinds of mixes and scratches with it!... And with 'Big Mouth'!... That to me was classic hip-hop... for real!... The Red Alert Radio-Shows in D.C.... Radio was stayin' true back then, because it was all new, and all FRESH!!!...'Yep, there's nothin' like the 'old days'... but life still goes .. leaving the military, and finding a love (or two) in Europe, the decision became clear on where to 'rest the head'. Cheapz probably knows Germany better than most germans. But then again, 'If you never search for what you're looking for,... then you're never going to find it.'These days, Cheapz spends time working on different, musical projects, as well as organizing and solidifying his independent label. As well as rap music, Cheapz is also producer for KELLENNY, a blues n' rock kat, also on the same label. So, check for them both in the years to come. Currently, Cheapz is filling the position as "Big Brother" and consultant to partner-label affiliate, Occidental Records (coming soon), layin' down madd features with the Movement-members (nvY, Cpartakyc, Jonny Tornado, Curly Teerz, Bodea, Loop Skywalker, Panice & Floaphone), and running all matters at Amazement Entertainment-KellennySongz. With already producing KELLENNY's first acoustical blues/classic-rock cd-lp, "DEVILZ 4 REAL the sketchez", Kellenny plans to return the favor, and produce CHEAP BEATZ AMAZIN's first release, "Blazian Ambassador", displaying true 'diplomatic-ties' as a master of ceremonies, with talents from more various cultures and countries, than the average so-called 'rap-artist'.Cheap Beatz Amazin'z inner circle includes: nvY, Loop Skywalker, 38z, Stylinists, No Budget Crew, Face Error, Mr. Bayse, Lost Park Radio (DJ T-iLL, Mr. Kanister, DJ Kid Pokus One), Aurele, Al.e.D., my homeboy at Fame Drang, Ed Winter, RonDawg, UCB... just to name a few... Cheapz doesn't really bother anyone, though... Born on the east coast of the United States, in June of 1972, from vietnamese, african-american descent, this inspiring songwriter grew up (years at a time), in places such as Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Okinawa (Japan), and Pennsylvania. Thus, bringing him to historical, yet beautiful cities throughout Germany and Europe.This musician served many years, active duty in the U.S. Army, as a communications specialist. After a memory-filled, yet dramatic, time in 'B.D.U.'s' (which lasted through the duration of the first Iraq-Kuwait conflict), Kellenny gained a lot more respect for human qualities, and was then introduced to the european way of life. Music, which he considers 'the most- underrated international language on earth' (besides love, of course), was one of several avenues of approach (again, besides love, of course, haha!). And although, there are many differences between 'american culture' and 'european culture', it became very clear and evident to him that the 'world of similarities' is what attracts him to the continent. And as the friend- ships, made throughout Europe, began to increase, so did the musical talents and the com- munication skills (learning german, as a second language). The decision is clear to see why Kellenny considers Europe his 'second' home,... if not 'first'. And to this date, Kellenny stays busy with many projects, which span over different areas of music, such as blues, rock, hip-hop, and almost anything that has to do with using the voice.
