Band Members: Cory Weeds has been dubbed Mr. Jazz by his peers and Canadian singer Kate Hammett-Vaughan has called Weeds "the hardest working man in jazz business."In addition to being the founder, producer and engineer at Cellar Live, Weeds runs one of Canada's finest jazz Club, The Cellar Restaurant / Jazz Club which has hosted the likes of George Coleman, Eric Alexander, Mulgrew Miller, Kenny Barron, Kenny Garrett, Monty Alexander, Ben Riley, Red Holloway, Dr. Lonnie Smith, David ' Fathead' Newman and many many more.Weeds has also been playing the alto saxophone professionally for the better part of 15 years touring and recording worldwide. Some hightlights include 3 tours and counting with legendary organist Dr. Lonnie Smith as well as a recording. He has shared the stage with such luminaries as Charles McPherson, David Fathead Newman, PJ Perry, Don Thompson, Hugh Fraser and Ross Taggart. Weeds has played in all corners of the globe including Austrailia, Japan, New York, Italy and Switzerland.Weesd has hosted 'Chasin The Train' on 102.7 CFRO for the last 8 years and has also been heard on CBC's 'Hot Air' as a fill in for Paul Grant.Weeds is also currently working with Tall Poppy Records, a wonderful independant label headed up Lee Lindsey.
