Jon Roche

Hello music fans!I'm Jon Roche, a musician born in New Jersey and working in and out of NYC since 1997. I've had lots of different experiences and travels with music. Orchestras, Jazz, Country, Folk, Blues, Circus, and Rock are some of the areas I spent time in. I mainly play double bass but also I play guitar, sing, drum, and write songs.I lead a jazz trio from 7:30 til 10 every Sunday at Smalls in NYC. We are joined there by the remarkable vocal veteran Marion Cowings. Smalls is really the club where I found my musical, social, and philosophical home.The tunes I've posted are described as follows....You're The Cream In My Coffee is an old standard recorded at Atlantic Bar and Grill where I play with Roman Ivanoff every Friday. Getting Used to It is an original tune that I wrote, sang, played guitar and bass on, and recorded at Saul Rubin's studio Zebulon Sound And Light. License To Kill is a Bob Dylan tune that I sang, played guitar and bass on. O nosso amor is a song from Joa Gilberto. It appears on the duo CD Roman and I recorded.I hope you enjoy these tunes.
