Thorn formed from the ashes of many notable Louisville local bands in late 2006. Featuring Florida transplant Keith Warren, former members of Breckinridge Scott McKenzie and Critter, and Month of Sundaze bassist Nick Priddy, the group’s music presents a powerful mixture of alternative rock with a dash of acoustic integrity. After recording their first demo at DSL studios, the band built up a strong word of mouth following their venue debut at Villapalooza, a charity concert to benefit Kosair Charities. In addition to amassing a healthy following for such a young group, they’ve also attracted opportunities to work with some of the areas most respected and successful national artists. Currently, Thorn is producing their first full length EP entitled “The Powers That Be,†in hopes of securing a major label endorsement.
