Leonidas Balafas was born in Athens on May 12, 1981. From a very small age he began to have musical stimuli. In the age of 14 years old, Leonidas had in his hands his first guitar. From the age of 10 he followed his brother-in-law to the radio stations that worked and and participated actively singing "on air" over tangible songs that played.
When he bought his first album which was Katsimichas Brothers, he began to love and get passionate with the rock music. His first hearings apart from the Katsimichas Brothers were: Pyx Lax, Vasilis Papakwnstantinou, Sting, Steve Miller Band, Queen and others.
In this interval he had courses of phonetics and speech training in various conservatories. In 1999 he made his first appearance "at night", singing in the "Stavros tou Notou". After that he sang at the music hall "Apenemja" in Plaka. In 2004 he sings rock music at "Onoma tou Rodou" making very good sense. A year afterwards Leonidas presents himself in "Architektoniki" Zografou interpreting Greek and foreigner rock hits.
At the same time in this interval between April-June 2005 he takes place in the All Star Fame competition at the ANT1 occupying the first place (he was the winner). Finally in March 2006 Leonidas participates in Fame Story 4 where he was voted to first place winning a contract with Heaven Music Greece....
And this is just the beginning !!!
