I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships and Friends

About Me

The name's Carlos, I'm from Texas. Loyal, brutally honest, logical, cynical, smart, smart-ass, unapologetic, efficient, generous are some of the many things that can and have been said of me. I am single handedly the most destructive force in my life and yet the only one truly able to affect change. I am learning to live life more and more every day. The latest lesson: irregardless of intent people are affected (read hurt) by my actions. Consequently I am working on the whole inadvertently trampling on people's emotions thing. I'm not making any guarantees but we'll see how it goes. If you would like to know more ask one of my friends, they'll tell it to you straight both good and bad.

If you're interested here are some pictures of my goings on.

My Interests

I love a good conversation, particularly about the absurdity of Politics & Religion, Theoretical Physics, Philosophy, or about absolutely nothing at all
I'm always down for a good show... Skanking, Moshing, and Crowd Surfing are all sweet, but at the same time chilling and listening to jazz or a jam band is just as cool

I'd like to meet:

People with open minds, opinions, spines, different points of view... livers, doers, artists, intellectuals, musicians, lovers, fighters... if you think you fit one of these or you feel you shouldn't be categorized I'd probably like to meet you. So far I've done a good job of finding the above but more than any of that I'd like to find my equal, someone to challenge me to be more me than I am or think I can be and someone who I can be this for also.

Music:

Genres:
Punk, Metal, Hardcore, Rock, Alternative, Funk, Classical, Experimental etc... etc... if its not country I'll probably listen to it and if its techno I'll probably skank to it.

Movies:

Latest & Greatest:

Good Ones:

Classics:

Random Films You Haven't But Should See:

Television:

So after 3 months sans cable I have reacquired it and I am instantly reminded of just how mind numbing it still is. That being said the 3 month absence has broken me of my addiction to it and now I hardly ever watch it although HBO and Showtime are nice to have.

Stuff on TV now:
The Venture Bros.(The most amazing show ever), Entourage (Season 2... 3 is crap), The Daily Show, Conan, The Colbert Report, Mythbusters, Metalocalypse...

Stuff that should
still be on TV:
The Maxx, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Mission Hill, Invader Zim, In Living Color, Barn Yard Commandos, Parker Lewis Can't Lose...

Books:

Just recently, for the first time ever, I purchased books to read for pleasure. We'll see how that goes. If you are curious or know anything about the works of Douglas Hofstadter we should talk. Particularly about Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid or I Am a Strange Loop. I have yet to read them but from what I've read about them they should be very interesting.
