About Me

When the bold branches
Bid farewell to rainbow leaves
Change hangs hidden in the air...
There was this great Zen story once? It stayed with me. It was about the man who was seeking the love of his life. When he first took flowers to her door and knocked... she called out, "Who's there?" He said, honestly, "It is me." She did not open the door.
He went again, this time bringing other, more costly gifts. He knocked on the door; she called out, "Who's there?" "It is me, the one who loves you most of all." She did not open the door. Finally, as he headed away, he had a sudden flash of insight, dashed back to the door and knocked. "Who's there?" she called out. "It's you," he said - and she opened the door.
Hope that tells you sumthin about me. : ) However enigmatically...
