I've just returned from a week-long sojourn on a beach in Costa Rica. By the end of the week I found myself thinking in Spanish. I had a wild, debaucherous time and would love to go back.

Next week I head to North Carolina to see the fam and old friends for a few weeks.

Thoughts on American tv I had in C.R.:

-Gilmore Girls would've been a lot more popular if they hadn't made their male protagonist where a giant blue hat backwards.

-The first season of "the OC" was amazing, but the female characters were written exponentially worse than the men, most likely because they were written by 30-year old men.

-You know that high pitched musical tone that crescendos at the end of the opening credits of "Scrubs"? They don't have that down there. Whuddup with that?

Books:

"Catch-22" might be one of the funniest books I've ever read, and I've read a shitload of books.

Heroes:

Mike Todd should go to Costa Rica.
