I am a model with Wilhelmina in New York. I won a model search with MODE magazine and ended up moving to New York City. I feel blessed to be here and provide a postive body image for young woman. Too often fashion protrays 2% of the population, who is naturally thin, as the standard of beauty. While over 70% of woman are above a size 12. I believe this puts a great deal of pressure on women and young girls especially who aspire to look like the models in these magazines. Unfortunatly some resort to eating disorders and excessive dieting in order to look thin. Hopefully through seeing images of myself and other models, who are curvier in the pages of magazines and on movie screens; we can change the idea of what a perfect body truly is, and create a new standard of beauty.
